Carbon black is a filler mainly for rubber products. Those products are usually the input of the CRS-BERAHN® when their life cycle ends. Examples are tires, hoses, cable, profiles, seals, formed components, roofing foil, conveyer belts, rubberized rolls, and so on.
The BERAHN®-Carbon out of tires can be improved to carbon black. This requires the installation of a conditioning plant. Primarily, that plant consists of mills to pulverize the carbon, the pelletizing unit, and a drying area. Both, the electricity and the heat needed, can be taken from the tire/rubber recycling plant. Hence, both plants run autarky with regard to public power or heat.

A typical feature of carbon black from waste tires is the rather high sulfur content. That is why it is not appropriate for all carbon black applications. As we do for the BERAHN®-Carbon, we will guarantee minimum and maximum values of the properties.
